Granular file permissions

Control what users can access in the cloud, and set up policies that help you manage user access rights.

Create user access roles

Assign team share roles to limit or expand what users can do in team shares.

Manage access per device

Manage which devices have access to a shared folder, and set exclusive access policies to prevent data breaches.

Track user activity

Admins can track cloud activity with the activity log and always know what users are doing in vBoxxCloud.

Create user groups

Grant or remove access for a large number of users at once.

Granular permissions

With permission roles, you decide what subscribed users can do with files. vBoxxCloud granular permissions are based on NTFS permissions, and each role has specific read, write and delete settings.

  • Web portal: users who attempt an unauthorised action receive an error message.
  • Desktop: desktop users find a notification about file permissions in the Warnings tab.

Manage device access

Choose which devices can access the cloud. Limit the number of devices that can connect to vBoxxCloud and make sure users can only access their files from their office computer.

  • Web and mobile

Managing a large number of users can be overwhelming. Create user groups to manage departments or a large number of cloud users easily, then apply granular permissions to each group.

Cloud user access rights

Each role defines what a user can do inside a team share.
