Frequently asked

Do I need separate licences for Cryptomator, eM Client or ONLYOFFICE?
No. Pro licences for eM Client and ONLYOFFICE are included in every vBoxxCloud plan. You activate them from the admin panel and they appear automatically in each user's app. Cryptomator is separate: the desktop app is free and open source, while the Cryptomator mobile apps and Cryptomator Hub are sold separately by Skymatic.
Where is the data for these integrations stored?
Everything stays inside our EU-only infrastructure (Netherlands and Germany). ONLYOFFICE rendering, eM Client mailboxes and vault files are stored on vBoxx servers.
Can I bring my own Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace identity?
Yes. We support SSO via Azure AD, Okta and Google Workspace, plus SCIM provisioning. Users can sign in once and reach mail, files and documents without re-authenticating.
Is ONLYOFFICE really compatible with Microsoft Office files?
ONLYOFFICE uses the same OOXML format as Microsoft Office, so .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files round-trip without losing formatting, formulas or macros. Track-changes and comments are fully preserved.
What happens to my encrypted files if I lose my Cryptomator passphrase?
Cryptomator is genuinely zero-knowledge, we cannot recover the passphrase for you. We recommend storing a recovery key in your team password vault and enabling our optional admin escrow for regulated industries.
Can I integrate vBoxxCloud with other tools?
Yes. We expose WebDAV, an open REST API and webhooks, and we ship native plug-ins for Outlook and Office. Talk to us about specific integrations, most enterprise stacks are already covered.
